This is a lovely combination stone of Iolite and Sunstone aka bloodshot Iolite. It is mostly Iolite, deep blue, with bits of orange confetti sunstone and sparkly hematite which is where the "bloodshot" name comes from. Being polished brings out the stones beauty even more! Measures 1.9 inches in diameter
Weighs 159 grams / 5.6 ounces
Iolite is a stone of vision. It is used to enhance spiritual visions, to see clearly - especially see within ones’ self, and to strengthen intuition.
Iolite is used to activate the Third Eye Chakra and is associated with the zodiac signs Libra, Sagittarius and Taurus.
It is believed that Iolite is the “sunstone” that vikings used to navigate when it was difficult to see the sun’s position on cloudy days. This was previously thought to be optical calcite, but more recent discoveries have shown that it was most likely to be slices of Iolite.
