Australian Boulder Opal Rough On Matrix HUGE AMAZING Specimen

Shown DRY only - no wet photos even needed its so beautiful without any help. Photos taken with my phone indoors in natural light only from a window. Some are taken in direct sun, some are indirect sunlight. No other lighting, flash etc was used. I am using a black background, no background removing software was used in these photos. No colors are altered / edited. They are simply cropped. It really is that colorful and pretty. And I would never use any kind of oil on any stones but especially not on opals.

That said, this is a boulder opal chunk in and on its matrix from Australia. It is famous for its beautiful veins of opal running through brown stone creating a lovely contrast of neon to pastel colors against tan to dark brown matrix rock. This one has tons of those vein patterns in the stone as well as a large area that is fully opal with lots of flash. Beautiful electric blues and greens with pretty lavender and violet purples are the main colors of this flash, which can be seen perfectly nicely without needing to wet or polish the stone.

Perfect as it is for an impressive display specimen, or you could use as lapidary supply to make a whole bunch of smaller beautiful pieces / cabochons for jewelry.

On the other hand, packages ARE fully insured so in the extremely rare event that your item arrives damaged or broken, or gets lost in the mail please let me know so I can file a claim. Please include clear, well lit photos of any and all damage, plus the inner and outer packaging to expedite the process of getting your claim paid.
