This is a really special opal from Mexico. It has both rainbow flash and for some reason it has incredible gold shimmer, similar to the Schiller in sunstone. It may be caused by tiny gas voids in the opal, but I have not been able to find anything similar online to compare it to. The fire is primarily an orangey red that dances around the gold shimmer.
It is an oval shaped cabochon and flat on the back.
